The Building Process

Many people have never experienced the building process before and are unsure how to begin and what to expect throughout the process.  This part of our web page is designed to educate our costumers who may or may not have built a home before.  The more you know about the process, the easier it will be to communicate with all the players throughout the entire process. This is where an experienced builder with a strong team can guide you through the process and help you make well-informed decisions and keep the project on schedule.

Unlike many of the larger custom home builders in the area who build many dozens of home a year and are bound by tight schedules, we at Shawzer homes are afforded a somewhat less demanding schedule. This results in our ability to closely work with each of our clients throughout the process and adjust as needed.

The purpose of the information contained in this page is to educate our costumers, who may or may not have built a home before, and promote honest communications.  In doing so, we will provide suggestions, precautions, and hopefully answer some common questions.

In general, the steps are normally performed in the order presented, however many things can (and usually do) effect the order.   Remember, BE FLEXIBLE.
